Gerry Keens-Douglas is the Grenadian president for our board of directors. Gerry
and his wife are also local pastors and the current head of the Evangelical Churches of
the West Indies in Grenada-- as well as the denomination's Assistant Superintendent for
whole of the Caribbean. He's the longest serving board member for Youth With A Mission
Grenada (YWAM) and is the former National Director of Youth For Christ Grenada.
Alvin Campbell is a local pastor with a HUGE heart for missions
and evangelism. He oversees a discipleship ministry in the secondary
schools- as well as many programs focused on reaching the kids in
the village. Besides being a great friend, he often plays the role of
our cultural liaison and "all things Grenada" expert.
Justin and Erica Zauflik are the Resident Directors of Grenada 24-7, overseeing
all ministries on the island-- along with being the U.S. president for our board of
directors. Before God called them to Grenada, they'd been in ministry for over a decade.
What started as a weekly bible study for college students grew into an international
ministry reaching nations in southeast Asia, Africa, Europe and the Caribbean.
|One of the things God's taught us through the years is not to center what we do
around one personality or activity. Because of this, He has opened doors for us and
has allowed us to see Him revealed in ways we never would have thought imaginable.
We love Charlie and Sally Carpenter!!
We have the privilege of continuing the work they
first began in Grenada in 1987. Over the years,
they've hosted countless short term missionaries
and have seen literally thousands come to Christ.
|Leadership and Advisory Board
Bo Weaver founded Fellowship of Believers Church in 1981. From an initial group of 12 people,
the church grew to be a congregation of more than 1000 members. In 2006, Bo sensed God
leading him to start a new church, The Bridge Community Church of Northern Kentucky. What
started again with just a handful of people grew into a church of over 800 in just a few short
years. Along with pastoring a local church, he has ministered extensively in Europe, India, the
Philippines, and of course Grenada. Bo was actually Charlie and Sally's pastor when they first
came to the island and provided much of the support they needed.
Rev. El Akuchie was born and raised in Mbieri, Nigeria. He was first called to ministry in
1971 and has since ministered throughout the United States, Central America, Africa and
the Caribbean. Currently living in the United States, he oversees churches in Mansfield
Ohio, as well as in Grenada and back in Nigeria. He also organizes yearly mission trips to
help with our ministry here on the island. Rev. El has spent the last 20 years working
for the Richland County (Ohio) Juvenile Court system, in turn co-founding the Richland
Community Prayer Network and Family Coalition to mobilize local churches to work
together to combat the issues that plague their community.
Jesse Carpenter is Charlie and Sally's son and has served in Grenada since he was a
teenager. Jesse helped Bo Weaver start The Bridge Community Church and served as the
Worship and Young Adult Pastor. In 2012 he founded Restore: Covington, which is a
missional-community and urban ministry in Covington Kentucky.
Chuck Payne is Grenada 24-7's secretary for the board of directors. He is also currently
the Global Ministry Pastor at The Bridge Community Church as well as being an executive in
the financial services industry. Chuck brings a wealth of ministry and business experience as
he supports and counsels missionaries serving around the globe.
|As an organization, we believe that we can only fulfill the Great Commission if we respect and minister as
a diverse body of Christ. Along with being great friends, the following men feel God has called them to
help our organization fulfill our calling. These are the men that we look to for counsel, accountability,
encouragement and pastoring. In essence, they are our "Council of Pastors".
|God has called us to change the world for His Kingdom. He's given us the power
and authority to fulfill this calling. But to be His 'world-changers' we need to live
solely for that purpose and realize that only what's done for Christ will last.
